This training was created as a guide to creating a visual schedule to support an individual through their progression of tasks during the day. Professionals working as support staff or educators may find the training useful when working with young adults but may also find application to other age groups and a variety of diagnoses.
Case: Meg is a 21-year-old woman who is participating in transition activities to prepare her after graduation for a job. She attends a work site with a job coach multiple times a week. Meg struggles with getting started with the tasks assigned to her and will stop often to check in with her job coach as to the time and ask about other activities. Using this training, the job coach is able to provide Meg with visual supports that she needs to engage with the assigned tasks and increase her productivity and overall success and independence at the work site.
